Despite my vow to avoid chains, we ended up at Backyard Burgers on Hixson Pike yesterday since the only other time I had been there, when they first opened, the burgers were very good. The place is filthy. The order-taker seemed to have a bit of a problem understanding my request for "no vegetables" on my sandwich. Although the flavor of the burger was good, it was quite dry and Pat said the fries were probably good when they had been cooked, quite some time before. Never again, thanks.

I visit the one in Cleveland often, and really enjoy their burgers.

I remember my first, AND last, visit to one in Nashville. Over rated & over priced. blah.....
