Took Lovebug to Abuelo's Mexican Food Embassy yesterday for lunch. We got right in, lots of tables open.

We decided on the Green Chile Chicken Quesadilla, and it was outstanding! Chicken, roasted red and green chiles, mushrooms, sautéed onions and cheese. By far the best quesadilla I ever had in a restaurant.
We also ordered the "Grande" plate. It had: Three enchiladas, beef, cheese, and chicken, cheese chile relleno, tamale, a crispy beef taco, and guacamole, and Papas Con Chile. The Papas, and taco were good, the rest was just barely passable. The tamale was HORRIBLE. Neither Carol or I could stand the single bite we each tried.

Our server was inattentive for having a total of 3 tables, and we were wanting some desert, but she didn't come back to check on us, and we ran out of time before finally getting the check. Oh well. I will go back for the Quesadilla again though.

I really like their Mexican Stack.  The Margarita pie is wonderful.

Right now they have a special - two eat for $12.99 - and the Mexican Stack is on that particular menu.

Also, they've discontinued the Margarita Pie!
